Dunajec River
Dunajec is the 14th largest river in Poland with length of 274 kilometeres (171 miles). In terms of geography, Dunajec begins in the town of Nowy Targ as a continuation of two smaller mountain rivers (Black Dunajec and White Dunajec).
There are 4 dams on the Dunajec in Niedzica, Sromowce Wyzne, Roznow and Czchow that create beautiful lakes located between hills and mountains of Southern Lesser Poland.
The most amazing stage of Dunajec river is located in Pieniny National Park where river cut a deep and twisty gorge in Pieniny Mountains. Gorge begins just behind dam in Sromowce Wyzne and ends in a Szczawnica Spa.
Private Trip from Krakow:
Our private trips are available everyday from April 1st to October 31st except Easter Sunday and Corpus Cristi Day.
It takes about 2 hours to drive from Krakow centre to Sromowce Wyzne where you begin rafting. We recommend pick up in the morning (from 7am to 10am)
Rafting itself usually lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes, so total tour time is about 6,5 hours
After arrival to Sromowce Wyzne your English speaking driver shows you where to buy tickets and get on board.
Cost of tickets for rafting is not included in our price. It costs 46 PLN per person (adults) and 23 PLN (children)
You meet your driver again in Szczawnica Spa where rafting ends. He will be waiting for you at the drop off point.
Drive from Szczawnica to Krakow takes about 2 hours.
It's possible to see on the same day Niedzica Castle located 40 kilometeres from Szczawnica.
In case of visiting Niedzica castle total price is 20% higher then normal rafting + tickets to the Castle - 12 PLN (adults), 9 PLN (students).
Total time of trip extends for another 3 hours (1 hours for a lunch, 1 hour for sightseeing Castle and it's environs + driving)

- Weather is crucial during this trip. We let you change pick up date or cancel trip in case of bad weather.
- Even if it's warm and sunny we recommend you to take a light jacket.
- Rafting is safe and you don't need to know how to swim. Life jackets are provided for special request. Normally noone use them.

- If you're running out of time you could combine rafting and visit in Zakopane on the same day. Please contact us for more details.
