The city of Czestochowa is located on the picturesque lime hills, 130 kilometers (80 miles) north of Krakow. What makes this place such special? It is a Jasna Gora Sanctuary (Bright Mountain) with Miraculous Painting of Black Madonna. It was painted on a wood panel measuring 122.2 x 82.2 x 3.5 cm. and shows the Blessed Virgin with Jesus in her arms. According to legend it was painted by Saint Luke the Evangelist on the table's planks which used to belong to the Holy Family. There are plenty of testimonies of people who were saved from diseases,

Czestochowa Tour
Our private tour will start directly at Your accommodation in Krakow. It takes around 2 hours to drive from Krakow to Czestochowa so we recommend You to begin Your tour in the morning. Jasna Gora Sanctuary is open for visitors from 5 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. however sightseeing with local guide is possible from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. (3:45 p.m. in winter).
At the appointed time You will be picked up by our English speaking chauffeur. He will drive You directly to Czestochowa. After about 2 hours drive you will arrive to Jasna Gora Shrine where you will start 1,5 hours tour with private English speaking guide. The guide will show You all important object on the Jasna Gora among others: Chapel with Miraculous Painting of the Black Madonna, Basilica, Bell Tower, Treasury, Knight's Hall. Sightseeing with the guide usually lasts about 1,5 hour. After that time You will have another 1,5 hour for yourself (praying, shopping in souvenirs shops etc). After guided part of visit you will have an hour for yourself which can be spend on prayers, shopping souvenirs or walk around shrine. It's also possible to have a lunch nearby Shrine or on the way back to Krakow.
